Commercial buildings use a great deal of energy lighting the workplace. Typically lighting in offices is run for 10 to 12 hours a day, and hence any saving by changing a lamp for an equivalent light source of greater efficiency can pay back in energy savings very quickly.
We specialize in replacing the older T8/T12 switch or ballast start fluorescent lamps with a T5 equivalent. The more modern tri-phosphor tubes give an improved lighting rendition at 30% less energy. So re-lamping an office will improve the overall lighting level and save energy and therefore cost. The total project typically gives a payback of 2 to 3 years and then goes on saving energy long after that.
